Welcome to Macclesfield Light Orchestra

The Macclesfield Light Orchestra is an amateur orchestra of 30 years' standing. It is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Its 25 members meet weekly to rehearse and enjoy playing a wide range of music to suit a variety of tastes.

The orchestra gives its services free to support local charity groups through regular concerts.

Recent beneficiaries of its charity concerts include: local branches of the Alzheimer's Trust and the NSPCC, canal boats for the disabled and an Indian orphanage. The orchestra also performs at the annual carol service at North Rode church near Congleton.

It is a friendly orchestra, always ready to welcome new members.
